Power Pak's just the beginning - scroll on to uncover the how, the why, and everything you need to know to make game-changing decisions!

Disassembly and Inspection

We take the disassembly and inspection process very seriously to ensure the highest quality. Each cylinder head undergoes an initial inspection during disassembly, followed by a second inspection by a separate technician to catch any potential issues right from the start.

Even if you provide new cores or disassembled heads, they will still need to be inspected for damage, unless purchased directly from HeadGames. Inspection fees apply to all cylinder heads.

  • For assembled heads, a $250 service charge covers disassembly, inspection, oil plug removal, and flushing in our Ultrasonic, and Wet Blaster.
  • For disassembled and new cores, a $75 inspection fee applies. Remember, new heads can have issues too!

Cleaning

We’ve put in the effort to deliver the highest standard of surface finish and cleanliness in cylinder head cleaning.

For a factory-fresh look, we offer vapor honing to restore your heads to a like-new appearance.

All heads are thoroughly cleaned using our Wet Technologies wet soda blaster, ultrasonic cleaner, or spray washer to ensure optimal results.

Power-Matched Cylinder Head Services – The Right Upgrade for Your Goals

We offer a range of specialized services to ensure your cylinder heads are optimized for performance, whether you're restoring or upgrading. Some of these services are only available based on your specific power goals—we won’t let you hurt yourself by doing too much or too little.

Below are the services you can find up to 600whp and 600-800whp+ ranges.

Starting with our Refresh Service, we'll get your heads running like new by cleaning, re-facing valves, refreshing valve seats, setting valve lash, milling, and assembling with new Viton valve seals.

If your heads are already built, our Aftermarket Refresh provides the same benefits for heads that need a little extra attention.

For more serious performance upgrades, our Rebuild with Guides Service installs bronze guides, ensuring proper valve-to-guide clearance for durability when installing an aftermarket valve.

Unlock More Power – Precision Porting for 600-1200WHP Builds

Looking to make more power? We’ve got you covered! These services are designed specifically for builds in the 600whp+ range.

  • CNC Pocket Port Service – A cost-effective way to enhance power under the curve, especially for builds in the 600-800whp range. This process optimizes the most critical area of the cylinder head by reshaping and resizing the throat and short-side radius in relation to the valve size, ensuring optimal flow.
  • Pocket Port R Package – A must-have for 800+whp builds on pump gas, this package adds combustion chamber reshaping to eliminate hotspots, helping to prevent detonation and improve efficiency.
  • CNC Port Service – If you’re pushing 800+whp, this is the ultimate cylinder head upgrade. (We don't recommend doing a full cnc port until 800+whp. It will only hurt torque.

We don’t just port heads—we engineer solutions for maximum performance and reliability. Let’s build power the right way!

Oversized Valve Flow vs. OEM Valve

We often get asked why we don’t offer oversized valves for the Evo X (4B11) cylinder head. The answer is simple: oversized valves kill flow on the 4B11—not just in one area, but everywhere.

The reality is the factory port design doesn’t support a larger valve. And it’s not just about airflow. On the exhaust side, the situation gets worse—the oversized valve physically doesn’t fit the seat properly. You’re left with a valve that’s bigger than the seat it’s trying to seal, which compromises durability, sealing, and reliability.

At HeadGames Motorworks, we focus on what works—not what looks good on paper. Proper valve sizing keeps flow optimized, seats intact, and power where it belongs: under your right foot!

Billet Cam Cap Replacement

The factory #1 cam cap on the 4B11 engine is a known weak point and prone to cracking under stress. Our billet cam cap upgrade solves this problem with a precision-machined billet replacement designed to handle high-performance demands. This service includes the installation of the new cap along with a full line bore and hone to restore proper cam alignment, oil clearance, and functionality. Whether you're building a street car or a full-race setup, this is essential insurance for reliability and longevity.
