Dave's Take:
This burr is the honey badger of burrs. It simply doesn't care how much material you need to remove, it is coming out and it is coming out VERY quickly. That is why it is for an expert level. This is the baddest burr on the planet.
The 3/4 burr is my go to for almost everything. It shapes effortlessly and there is minimal need for lube. I have multiple of these because I cut the to different lengths depending on how hard I am going to be porting, or if the runner is long or short. So, pocket port I would use a short 4 inch and a short turn I use the whole 6 inch length so I have the most leverage. I do this because the 6 inch will deflect when pushing really hard, and I am always pushing hard.
When doing a full port, I use the 5/8 to rough it out and then go over it with the 1/2 at full speed and then again at slow speed or when doing a pocket port I will switch to the 3/8 double cut burr for a smooth finish.
