Ferrea Racing Components asked Headgames Motorworks to port and polish their Ford ecoboost cylinder heads, which were set to be on display at the SEMA Auto Show. Being they were a display piece, these cylinder heads were ported and polished, but a valve job was not needed as they were not indeed to be used on a vehicle. Instead, this ported Ecoboost cylinder head was used by Ferrea to show off some of their new components for Ford’s latest turbo engine option. In the video, watch as Headgames Motorworks performs a porting job on the head:
1. Grinding intake ports
2. Sanding intake ports
3. Grinding exhaust ports
4. Sanding exhaust ports
5. Valve job (not shown here because this is not done on “show heads”
6. Blending the chamber
7. Milling
